Embedded systems.
Developed, tested and validated end-to-end.

emSane combines electronics, embedded software and automated validation in one engineering team — for automotive and industrial products.

Capabilities

Five areas, one accountable team — from schematic to the bench that validates it.

Embedded Hardware

Analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout and bring-up — the physical hardware that runs your firmware.

Embedded Software

Firmware and low-level software for microcontroller-based systems, from bring-up to production.

System Integration & Engineering Tools

Making sure the ECU, its network and the tools around it work together as one system.

Test & Validation

Testing that goes from a single unit to the full system, automated wherever it makes sense.

Test Hardware

Custom test and stimulation hardware that makes automated validation possible.

Design → Develop → Integrate → Test → Validate — one team, accountable for the whole chain.

Selected Projects

Two examples of the kind of engineering responsibility we take on.

Industrial

Embedded Systems for GMN

Problem
GMN needed embedded hardware, firmware and testing support for its products — not a one-off engineering task, but ongoing engineering capacity it could rely on.
emSane's contribution
emSane provides continuous embedded hardware design, firmware development and validation for GMN products, keeping hardware, software and testing under one accountable team.
Result
An ongoing embedded engineering partnership — GMN gets one team responsible for the full stack, not three separate suppliers to coordinate.

Automotive

E/E System Testing for Major German & Chinese OEM Vehicle Programs

Problem
Supplier ECUs entering a major German OEM's and a major Chinese OEM's vehicle programs need reliable, repeatable E/E testing as part of incoming quality inspection — without flying an engineer to every supplier or OEM site for each test cycle.
emSane's contribution
emSane engineers develop and automate E/E test cases — SW updates, diagnostic communication, startup behavior, bus communication — running them on local test benches and, via the ARTS Box, directly on test benches at the customer's site.
Result
A multi-year, ongoing testing responsibility with automated, remotely executable regression testing supporting major German and Chinese OEM vehicle programs.

Test customer ECUs remotely — without shipping them to our lab.

ARTS Box · emSane's remote test infrastructure

Getting a supplier ECU tested usually means shipping hardware to a lab, or flying an engineer to the customer's site. The ARTS Box removes that step. It's a 19-inch rack system that bundles the relay infrastructure, CAN backbone and I/O interfacing needed to run a full HIL-style test bench — addressable entirely over the network.

At its core, it's a modular switching matrix: it can power multiple ECUs on the bench independently, and wire each one to whatever test equipment that test requires — a CAN interface, a gateway, dedicated measurement equipment — without anyone re-cabling anything. Every reconfiguration is a software command sent from Bangkok, not a trip to the lab — the same infrastructure behind our ongoing E/E testing work for automotive OEM programs, see Selected Projects.

  • Independent power switching for multiple ECUs on the bench
  • Software-defined routing between ECUs and test equipment — direct, through a gateway, or to dedicated measurement equipment, per test case
  • CAN backbone for bus communication, diagnostics and flashing
  • Remote power-cycling and automated test-case execution
  • Modular 19-inch design — one unit per test bench, local or at a customer's site

About emSane

Who we are, where we work from, and why.

emSane is a Bangkok-based engineering team of embedded software, electronics and test specialists, under German engineering leadership. Our work spans the development and testing of ECUs across conventional and electric powertrains for automotive and industrial programs — see Selected Projects for specifics.

For years, the amount and complexity of automotive and industrial electronics has been growing: more functions, more communication interfaces, more edge cases to validate. That trend is accelerating further with driver-assistance and automation features. We exist for the part of that work most teams find hardest to staff — the point where hardware, firmware and validation all have to work together.

Why Bangkok

Access to the Asian automotive & industrial ecosystem

Thailand sits close to China and Japan's manufacturing bases, with its own large automotive industry on the doorstep — and European and US markets remain well accessible.

Working hours that overlap with Europe

Bangkok's time zone gives us a useful working overlap with European teams and OEMs, on top of same-day reach across Asia.

One team, not three suppliers

We're a BOI-promoted company operating from Bangkok, which lets us offer cost-effective engineering without splitting hardware, software and validation across separate vendors.

Where the name comes from

em·bedded system — a controller with a dedicated function within a larger system, often under real-time constraints — plus sane: showing good judgment and understanding. Embedded systems, built with a healthy dose of good judgment — that's emSane.

Certifications & Security
